In the eight years George Margarson has been training racehorses at Graham Lodge in Newmarket, we have achieved much success and many top winners for our owners. You can see to the left our Listed and Group racehorse winners.

Being very close to the main Newmarket racecourse gallop and with easy access to the 'Bury side' canters and gallops, we have an exceptionally well placed racehorse yard with many choices for exercising our racehorses. For jumpers, we are less than a mile from the links National Hunt gallops and schooling grounds.

WEEKLY YARD NEWS

With the ground going soft at Newbury last week Young Mick missed his indented run and will now be re routed to Ascot on May 10th for a listed race.

We ran another nice horse at Windsor on Monday 21st April in Woolfall Treasure who ran a blinder on his seasonal debut finishing a good second to a useful type and will improve on this.

We have three runners at Nottingham on Wednesday 23rd the first is Polish Red who won twice for us last season and has wintered well and we are looking for him to run a big race we also turn out Northern Jem quickly after running well at Yarmouth last Friday and he holds a good each way chance ,we also run a nice three year old in the last Totoman he had one run at the back end of last season and would have finished much close than his placing had he not been stopped in his run and I am expecting him to run well at a big price.

Young Mick can be viewed cantering on our You Tube site

http://uk.youtube.com/user/MARGARSON.

We have a strong team of three year olds With Dry Speedfit  Woolfall Treasure and Magical Speedfit having done well over the winter and they look sure to serve us well on the turf.

The older horses are led by Young Mick whom although he failed to follow up on his 2006 season he showed he still retains ability ,he has been rested and comes back into training in two weeks and given that he shows his old form he will be aimed at the cup races were I would expect him to make his mark.

We also have Northern Jem  Generous Jem and  Polish Red among the four Year olds and they will be aimed at the top handicaps with Polish Reds main aim being the Ebor.

We shall be short on runners over the winter as we only have two horses in training for the all weather season is disappointing as we usually do very well with limited horses through the winter .

We still have some yearlings for sale among them a lovely half sister to Young Mick which we are hoping to put into a partnership of eight shares anybody interested are welcome contact us and arrange a visit to see them.
